Salary: £40,00 – £55,000 / £70,000 OTE
Location: Hybrid (Newcastle)
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Client Account Manager to join a rapidly growing consultancy with ambitious expansion plans. You will manage a portfolio of private sector clients, acting as a trusted advisor, supporting operations, and driving value through upselling and cross-selling. This is a client-focused role with no new business hunting, ideal for someone with genuine consultancy experience who thrives in a people-led, multi-faceted environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio accounts supporting clients across retail, gaming, proptech, and banking sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including VPs and key decision-makers.
- Act as the first point of contact for client queries, supporting financial and operational needs.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell within existing accounts.
- Conduct regular client engagements (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) to monitor performance, provide guidance, and ensure satisfaction.
- Support enterprise organizations as the company grows its enterprise footprint.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality consultancy solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Genuine consultancy experience with a people-led approach; experience selling SaaS products is less relevant.
- Experience managing private sector clients; familiarity with enterprise clients is a plus.
- Ability to wear multiple hats: client management, operational support, and strategic guidance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable navigating complex organizations, including banks (Tier 1 & Tier 2), investment startups, and large corporates.
Typical Clients & Deal Sizes
- Private sector: retail, gaming, proptech
- Banking: Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks
- Investment startups
- Deal sizes typically range from £50k–£150k, with discovery windows around £40k–£50k and potential contracts up to £1.5 million.
