Job Description

Magnus & Wolf are working with a small sized Microsoft Partner who are looking to recruit an Azure Sales Director. 

Criteria:
Experience in selling the Microsoft Azure platform is ESSENTIAL to apply for this role.

Location:

This is a remote based role but the candidate must be based in the UK. 

Salary:

£80,000 – £100,000 Basic

The Role:

  • Previous employment in a similar role with either Microsoft or a Microsoft Partner organisation.
  • Come from an Azure solutions background in either a technical or sales role.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of Azure Infrastructure services and Azure Security solutions to a level where you can confidently sell these solutions.
  • You could be a previous Azure Practice Lead, Azure Solutions Specialist, or a Microsoft Sales leader with experience selling Azure Infrastructure services and Azure Security solutions.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft sales segmentation and engagement approach.
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft business model and how they engage with Partners, ideally with an awareness of the available Microsoft funding programs.
  • Be well networked across relevant Microsoft teams and individuals in the Azure space with individual relationships that can be built upon in this role.
  • Bring existing customer relationships to the role to sell services into.
  • Can sell end to end solutions on Azure at a reasonable technical level including delivering presentations and creating statement of work proposals whilst working alongside our Architects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools such as Dynamics 365 for opportunity tracking, Microsoft 365 and specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 5+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or related experience. This will include an ability to deliver new business sales as well as also discovering and nurturing opportunities in existing customers too.
  • 5+ years’ experience designing and deploying Azure Infrastructure services and Azure Security solutions.
  • 2+ years people management experience (including leading virtual teams).
  • Deep technical understanding of cloud deployment scenarios and workloads.
  • A continual learned and the ability to stay up to date on new/improved Azure Infrastructure services and Azure Security solutions.
  • Azure Certified – currently holds (or willing to) achieve the following certifications: AZ-900 – Azure Fundamentals and SC-900 Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
